သတင္းအခ်က္အလက္ နွင့္ ဆက္သြယ္ေရးနည္းပညာ ဖြံ့ျဖိုးတိုးတက္ေရး အတြက္ ျမန္မာနိုင္ငံ ကြန္ပ်ူတာပညာရွင္ အသင္း (MCPA) မွ ျကီးမွူး၍ ၂၀၀၉ ခုနွစ္ ဒီဇင္ဘာလ (၁၇) ရက္ (ျကာသပေတးေန့) ေန့လည္ ၂းဝဝ နာရီမွ ၅းဝဝ နာရီအထိ၊ ရန္ကုန္ျမို့၊ လွိုင္ျမို့နယ္၊ ျမန္မာအင္ဖိုတက္ခ္၊ အခန္း (၂၀၅) တြင္ ထိုင္းနိုင္ငံ NECTEC အဖြဲ့အစည္းမွ Team Leader ျဖစ္သူ Dr. Choochart Haruechaiyasak မွ “Search Engine” တစ္ခုတည္ေဆာက္ရာတြင္ အသံုးျပုေသာ နည္းပညာမ်ားျဖစ္သည့္ Word Segmentation, Opinion Mining အစရွိသည္တို့ကို ရွင္းလင္း၍ လက္ေတြ့သရုပ္ေဖာှတင္ျပသြားမည္ျဖစ္သည္။

ထို့ျပင္ ဒီဇင္ဘာလ (၁၈) ရက္ေန့ (ေသာျကာေန့) နံနက္ ၉းဝဝ နာရီမွ ၅းဝဝ နာရီအထိ Search Engine တည္ေဆာက္သည့္ နည္းပညာနွင့္ ပတ္သက္သည့္ သင္တန္းတစ္ခုကိုလည္း က်င္းပျပုလုပ္မည္ ျဖစ္ပါသည္။ သင္တန္း တက္ေရာက္လိုသူမ်ားသည္ ျကိုတင္ စာရင္းေပးသြင္းနိုင္ျပီး စာရင္း ေပးသြင္းသူမ်ားထဲမွ သင့္ေတာှသူမ်ားကို ျမန္မာနိုင္ငံ ကြန္ပ်ူတာပညာရွင္အသင္း (MCPA) မွ ေရြးခ်ယ္ျပီး အခမဲ့ တက္ေရာက္ခြင့္ ျပုမည္ျဖစ္သည္။ အဆိုပါသင္တန္းတြင္ ေန့လည္စာျဖင့္ တည္ခင္း ဧည့္ခံျပီး Coffee Break လည္း ပါဝင္မည္ျဖစ္သည္။

ေဆြးေနြးေဟာေျပာပြဲသို့ ျမန္မာနိုင္ငံ ကြန္ပ်ူတာပညာရွင္ အသင္းဝင္မ်ား၊ Natural Language Processing နွင့္ ပတ္သက္၍ စိတ္ဝင္စားသူမ်ား၊ Search Engine နည္းပညာကို စိတ္ဝင္စားသူမ်ားနွင့္ စိတ္ပါဝင္စားသူ မည္သူမဆို (အခမဲ့) တက္ေရာက္ ေဆြးေနြးနိုင္သည္။ အေသးစိတ္ သိရွိလိုပါက ျမန္မာနိုင္ငံ ကြန္ပ်ူတာပညာရွင္အသင္း ရံုးခန္း၊ အေဆာင္(၄) အခန္း(၄)၊ ဖုန္းနံပါတ္ - ၆၅၂၂၇၆ သို့ဆက္သြယ္ စံုစမ္းနိုင္သည္။

Research and Development of Thai NLP: NECTEC's Experience

Brief Description of Seminar Topic
The Human Language Technology Laboratory (HLT) of the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) under Thailand's Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) is one of the leading research groups in Thailand, which has long experience in performing R&D in Thai NLP. We have many successful collaborations with domestic and international organizations, both academic and private companies. Our R&D areas include speech technology (speech recognition & synthesis), machine translation, search engine, question answering system, and language resource and tools. The main goal of this talk is to give an overview of our current R&D progress of Thai NLP. In particular, this talk will focus and present details on the following topics:

• Thai word segmentation competition under BEST (Benchmark for Enhancing the Standard of Thai language processing)
• LexTo & TLex: Dictionary-based and machine-learning based Thai Word segmentation
• Sansarn: Thai Open-Source Search Engine
• ABDUL (Artificial Buddy U Love): a platform for building QA and online help desk systems
• Opinion mining in Thai language
